Hello,

I am interested by the alternate ending feature, as I imagine many are, but have a little fear : that it won't be possible to deactivate it. Sometimes, the player only tries to expand his empire, to become the bigger guy around. An apocalyptic robot rebellion might make him game over despite all he accomplished. I would certainly enjoy playing more unpredictable games, but at some point, if the alternate ending goes too much against my "story", I might dislike it.

So I want to know if there will be an option to disable this feature. If there is no option of the sort at the moment, I would like to respectfully request it.

Why should it go against your story? The robots just rebell against you if you research very much into them. All the end game catastrophs are fitting to your game style as far as we know. So if you don't use robots the robots will not rebell.

And this are not ending... you can crush the robot rebellion. You can crush the invaders from a far galaxy. This isn't the ending. It's a last big enemy.

Other games that have offered "grand menaces" and other big end game threats like SOTS and Distant Worlds have offered you the chance to turn them off in the game setup screen so I would imagine the same would be true here.
