First questoin

I was reading through the forum and someone mentioned that they saved and then loaded a game but played as a different country than the original. How do you do that? When i try all the other countries are blacked out.

second question

Is there anyway to 'influence' either by force or by other means to make provinces convert to you religion or is it all just random events. In N.A. i colonised manhattan while i was still catholic and now they rebel all the time adter war exhaustion sets in.

Any responses will be much appreciated.

Don't know for the first question, but the second:

you can send a colonist to any city below 5000 souls and that colonist will serve as a missionary and convert the heathens to the true faith (yours of course )
