Since we have already gone down the road of random (within circumstances), rather than historical events..

then why should mongols come in 1230.. thats silly. Rather a random date generated that is somewhere between 1130 and 1350. This should keep players on their toes, twitching nervously for centuries.. rather than having to make mongols into some uberduber megawarriors. Naturally with their own developing techs.

This should force some hard decisions, do i start fortifying the east.. or devcelop my economy. They might come now.. and i will win, or later and i will have wasted so much that i would lose. Should also eliminate those 200k standing armies waiting at Itil, as noone can afford those for 2 centuries :D

.. i know rus-players will hate me now, i almost hate myself for writing this ;) ;)

Also the plague, which originated from the southern jungels mongols conquered. It would be silly if that plague came without cause and effect.
So maybe establishing a dateless system:

If anyone:
Owns (or controlls by vassal) any one (of 20? far eastern provinces)
and
Owns any one (of 20? far western provinces)

thereby establishing a link over the steppes, the black plague is released (within a random 20? years).

I think it would make a better *game* and it may be that Paradox has, indeed, implemented a semi-randomised system for the dates of the Black Death (which after the first devastating outbreak would return periodically by the way) and the two major Mongol invasions. They could even use Genghiz Khan as the Mongol leader what ever the date since it's really a self appointed title meaning "Lord of the Earth" Some historians consider Genghiz to be the rider of a somewhat random high tide of the Nomads (I know he had already died by the time of the second invasion in 1236). Tamberlaine/Timur is more problematic, since his conquest are more driven by his own personality rather than circumstance, but since his campaigns effect mostly non-player nations, the exceptions being the poor Georgians and a garrison in Smyrna, his date of effect not being randomised shouldn't effect gameplay very much.

Nice to see its liked ;)

ps lucaluca.. its Shambhala, and its in agartha ;)
Shambhala Root has more.. much more ;)
just overlook the obvious nonsense.. and silly "lets include everything" -ideas. :)
