I was wondering, has anyone here played HoI over LAN, if so were there any problems?
Also, is it better for a small group to play as one alliance (say the Axis) or to play as opposing sides?
 
I have played on lan doomsday. The only problem that can occur is that few ppl will want to have same country :D i think the best matchup for 3 people is UK and SU vs GER. if your skill is very low and there are only 2 players you can play wc with some nations together to conquer the world.
 
ye, Italia, Germany and Japan.
Too bad Japan is so far from Europe.
or
Russia, Germany and UK(or USA)
