AI controlled ships are stuck in the open oceans all over my map with 0 fuel left. The game needs a default routine that interrupts ship missions and plots them to head to the nearest friendly base when fuel reaches 50% level, so ships can top off their fuel.
It would also be nice if the AI didn't bring out huge numbers of ships planes and units unless the country is at war. A standard 10-15% max deployed during peace would be nice and help cut down map clutter.
The game also needs a new air patrol mission (possibly called carrier patrol) that allows air units to be assigned patrol missions that follow their parent carrier similar to how the naval escort mission follows another ship. The ability to assign a radius range would be nice as well, so air units patrolled a big circle out to a certain distance from the carrier. That or simply make the default distance 30% of the air units fuel endurance or something. A second combat air patrol mission (CAP) that kept air units closer to the fleet than normal patrols would be nice too.
