A full of events nation?

Hi, I would like to play a new game full of events.
I have played as Byzantine Empire and really enjoyed it.
I would prefer a medium or a small nation than a big one like England, France and Spain

There are several options then:
Venice, Portugal, Genoa, Aragon or Scotland as great fun to play medium nations that have been worked on a lot in EEP and have pretty many interesting events.
The Knights of St. John or Wales as big challenges with nice fantasy events (similarly to Byzantium).
Bavaria (my personal recommendation), Württemberg, Kleve, Meißen, Savoy, Mantua, Modena, Milan, Siena and Tuscany as Italian and German minors that have received some attention and have a lot of new stuff in EEP.
