As a huge Paradox and especially Crusader Kings fan I'm incredibly stoked to see a sequel being developed for it. While I absolutely love Crusader Kings I'm not blind to it's limitations and faults. I really hope that the sequel will expand on the excellent base already provided and build upon it to become an amazing game. So, to perhaps illicit a respone or even provide a few ideas to the developers I made a list of questions that popped up in my head.

Will the seasons play a role? In medieval time the calendar played a very big role in the lives of people. Harvest time, sitting on your butt in winter or running the risk of freezing it off and getting sick in the field, sowing in spring, campaigning during the summer, etc.

Will climate be implementen? For instance living in a cold and drafty castle in the frigid North was basically an invitation for pnumonia. Or think about the difficulty the crusaders had with adjusting to fighting in the searing heat of the Middle East.

What I loved in the original Crusader Kings was the hand drawn medieval graphic style and the many beautifull drawings which accompanied the many different events. Will the sequel also have this?

Apparantly barons will be also playable, does this mean that the number of provinces to rule will be expanded upon?

In EU: Rome the worst enemies one could have were our own rebellious governors. In medieval times most conflicts were civil wars. Will our vassals be our greatest possible enemies in Crusader Kings 2?

Will provinces have special sites like for instance a city, old Roman road, river crossing or natural harbor which can provide bonuses or penalties?

Will characters have personal goals and ambitions like they had in Rome?

Religious and knightly orders like the Hospitaler and Templar became a mayor factor in medieval times. Will we see them implemented in some way within the game?

Will heresies like the French Cathars and the subsequent crusades against them play a role in the game?

In Crusader Kings there where very few diplomatic options when dealing with other religions. Basically declare war or ask for an alliance. Will this be expanded upon?

Siege warfare offered very little options in previous games by paradox apart from an occasional event while you sat it out. Will this be expanded upon?

Will we be able to capture enemies for ransom (or worse) during battles or take/demand hostages as part of peace negotiations? Both things were common place and played a big role in medieval society and warfare.

Mercenaries played a large role during warfare in the dark ages. Will this be reflected in Crusader Kings 2?

Relics were considered to be very important and powerfull items during medieval times. Will they in any way be represented in Crusader Kings 2?

Will vassals, characters of even dynasties have secret goals and objectives they might try to work towards to? Like for instance an AI baron trying to give allegiance to another ruler or a count trying to gain independence?

Looking forward to see what the sequel holds in store for us!
