was going through my saves and found a save from 1.14.3, removed all my mods and set the game back to the save file and tried to load it up. it crashed. need some help with it

You reverted the game to 1.14.3 in the Steam betas tab, is that right?
If so, when going back that far it is best to rename your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings III/ folder , so the older game can rewrite it (caches in particular) how it wants to.
