Hi!
I have not reported this bug before now, though it has irritated me for some time. I thought it was so obvious that people would notice. I write now, having noticed it was not fixed in the latest patch (1.03).
One thing I have enjoyed playing paradox games in the past has actually been the flags. Some would say it is an irrational source of enjoyment; but seeing so many people sharing flags on the mod-forum, makes me feel I'm not alone.
I thus think making flags in Victoria dependent on the constitution was a great step forward. But:
1. In the tables and graphs of the ledger, countries are still represented by their 'standard' flags.
2. If I'm a playing communist state, annex an other nation and then re-create it as a satellite, it's constitution is Proletarian Dictatorship, but it still has it's standard flag.
3. Again playing a communist state, I make an other nation my satellite through war. Now neither the constitution nor the flag of the satellite nation change. I can't imagine that a communist government would agree to such an arrangement...
I guess, but I haven't verified it, that 2 and 3 goes for countries with republic or monarchist flags too.
