A multiplayer story:

Sometimes Iam near to get a hartattack
The time is 23.00 and its time to play
MP. Becuse Iam alone wife and children
are at sleep. I go to valkyriannet
I find someone else who wants to play
after about 10 minits one say:
-I be the host. and start a game in
valkyrianet.............2 minits
-He comes back...
-start in Internet.....
-And IP-
-He is awy ....2 minits
get his IP.
To intenet.
Join....
NO GAME
wrong IP start again 5 minits
Find evrybody at valkyriannet
5 minits
get new IP.
To intenet.
Join....
-What game.....?
-Host select hard hard and 1419
a long game
The game starts after a long disussion
of who gone be who and
NO CHAT in the game..
OK!
The game starts
Wait
Play for 20 minits. wery fun
Disconnect
find evry body 20 minits...
Must up to work 05.30
Must sleep soon
Iam out of it

I need more then 56K in speed
and no tax/minit

Next night play SP whith my selt ofcourse

wait until friday perhaps can play longer
 
I've ICQ'd you about this.
Basically you do need a better connection or alternatively use a Swedish host with a good connection- and there are lots!

Any game I join I probebly slow down
About this thread
I did feel to write my frustration of my self
It feels a littel bit better after.:)

Perhaps some people recognasie this story?

I feel your pain as I have 56k too. But you just have to keep your head held high and carry on:D
 
Morale Boaster

I hosted a game for 20 years last night 4 people on my lowly 512K modem and two of the players where on 56K modems, who were also in different countries, and we only had 2 real crashes and none due to lag. Now if that isnt good news what is.

Oh, and Joachim- I want a word with you!. I took over Spain after you..... and I think you know what I'm going to say? Have you ever played EU before?

And McGuigan I, sorry to have to carry on without you but how much did you stash away? Eh? what were you saving for? Prince Charles's cornation?
 
Well...

Ive hosted a 5players many , many times... No crashes at all for about 3-4 hours... except for that 56k connection guy called.. hmmm.. what was his name again... oh yeah Prince BUB... i think... I guess the connection makes it all... sorry bout that BUB
