A Norwegian Grand Campaign

Beeing away from For the Glory for som many years I wanted to so if I could make in run on my new computer. After having bug after bug ruining the game in AGCEEP I started a Norweigan grand campaign without any mods. Just the base game with the latest patch.

Norway is a fun challenge. Almost no leaders. Neighbours that always want to take you out. But if one can get at good start it can open up all kinds of possibilities.

The first I did was to cancel the vassallage with Denmark. But the kept the alliance, So it was important to not hace the military alliance expire. But fourtnaly Sweden kept declaring war on Novogord. In one of those wars the armies destroyd two settlements that I sent a colonist in immediatly. So here you can see that Lappland and Österbotten has become norwegian.

Bremen joined our alliance with Sweden and Denmark. I had a feel Sweden would again declare war on Novgorod and this time I snatched Kola. Denmark took Kexholm and Bremen has now Ingermanland. Interesting development. Sweden gained Karelia, fighting hard and loosing thousands to winter attrition. I tried to save as many men ass possible.

Mecklenburg still has a COT. Im saving money and building up lappland and Østerbotten. Starting to have a stronger economy.

Having three kids is no joke. Sorry for the late update. But here it comes. I have slowly built up my colonies. But I made sure not to develop Finmark because of the extra colonist its going to give me througout my entire game. Norways economy is very weak so there is long periods of saving money before any major investment.

What happend was that Gotland rebelled and went independent. I gathered my forces in and planced for an invasion. Norway desperatly needs more money and Gotland has a good base income of 10.

As you can see Gotland immediatly was in an alliance with Preussen, Brandeburg and Lithuania when I went to war. I could siege down Gotland and annex. So now Gotland is in my hands. The Norwegian fleets was very helpful. As Norway started with 10 warships and 10 transports I had no problems carrying out the amphibious assault.

On the other side of the ocean things were going great.

The russians of Novo-Karelia is not happy. They are tired of war so they are revolting. But Sweden and Denmark has throug conquest created a bufferzone so I'm not afraid they are going to join another country any time soon.

As you can see Bremen is still holding on to Ingermanland. Kexholm is Danish and Karelia is Swedish.

Might be somewhat daring and not sure if it's in your plans, but were you thinking of sniping Mecklemburg for the CoT? Could boost your income considerably, probably double it even.

I am thinking of Mecklenburg. If they are without an alliance and I have the resourses I'm gonna try to snatch them before annyone else do.
