I've been playing this, Victoria and EU2 with my friends a lot. LAN games. But last week when we were playing Victoria, I couldn't send workers to factories as Japan. The add worker button wasn't greyed out, it just didn't respond when I clicked it. As a Japan that doesn't industrialize is worthless, we stopped playing there.
Later we decided to give Armageddon a try, almost the same thing happened. My buddy couldn't research. We saved and loaded and a lot of techs were missing. We stopped playing there, and we blamed the version of Armageddon (it was 1.1).
So we thought that playing Doomsday would fix the problem, but it happened there too. He was playing the USA and I was the USSR when he suddenly claimed that he couldn't research an aircraft tech. We saved and loaded and one tech was missing. We decided to continue anyway and a few days later we did. This time I turned off the autosaves and it worked perfectly. We didn't play very far though (just barely had WW2 start), so my question to you is: Was it really the autosaves that messed up the game?
Thanks in advance!
