A question about colonists

Hello,
If I buy a safari rover, will I be able to transport my colonists to the second dome? because when I try the "Assign to building" option, I write "Out of range". I tried the colonist tunnels but I would have to build another dome and connect it to the one I want. If "no" do you know any other ways?

safari is only about visiting interesting places near the dome and getting back from where you started, for trasnporting between domes there are shuttles, or when domes are close, they just walk
