Hello!

I’ve been playing Cities: Skylines on PlayStation 4 and 5 for several years, and it was incredibly exciting when you allowed console players in the remastered version to create custom maps and build within 25 tiles. I understand the primary focus is now on Cities: Skylines II, and that support for Cities: Skylines is understandably limited. However, I have a suggestion for a feature I would love to see in a future update.
It would be amazing to have the ability to manually place specific styles of buildings from the different zoning categories. For example, in High-Density Residential zones, instead of zoning and waiting for a specific type of building to appear, I could place the one I want directly. Similarly, if I’m aiming for a particular commercial establishment, I currently have to repeatedly zone and de-zone until the building I desire appears. This process can be cumbersome, as there’s often a limit to how many of a certain building can be placed via zoning. To achieve the look I want, I frequently have to expand zoning far beyond what’s practical, rather than simply selecting and placing the desired structures.
I’ve noticed that many Cities: Skylines content creators use mods to address this issue, and I understand that integrating something similar into the console version could be a challenge. However, adding this functionality would significantly enhance the creative freedom for players and make building customized cities far easier.

Thank you for taking the time to read my suggestion, and I hope you have a fantastic day!

Hi, that's a great suggestion, love it!
I got a question though. I want to buy cities skylines remastered on my ps5 after I played Cities Skylines for several years on ps4 and ps5 (just like you did), but I can't find anywhere informations about the dlc and saves. My question is, will I have my dlc and saves installed on my CS remastered if I buy it? I thought you could answer based on your personal experience.
Thank you in advance, have a good day!

Hi, thanks for the response!
Unfortunately, your saves do not transfer to Cities: Skylines Remastered because it is a separated game. However, you keep all of your DLCs, and they have to be re-installed.

Have a great day too!

Thanks for the fast answer. That's really unfortunate tbh, I spent many years in a game I won't be able to continue?
I think I'll stick to the old version at this point.
Thanks you really saved me 40€!
