15 years ago we were working on EU1, and it was just a few months until our first game was released.. One of the beta testers (Matthew W?) visited us in Stockholm, and we went for a beer or two to talk about the game.

From left to right, Matthew, Patric (who started this community), me (yay, i'm a kid there), and Greven (manual writer, designer)

So you have been as old as me once? I thought your youth was only a myth?

Anyway thanks to younger you the game genre was created which I've put more than 6 000 hours of my life into playing.and almost 4 000 hours working on it. And I will probably spend another 10 000 hours on it

EU1 brings back so many fond memories. I remember saying, and it still holds true, that it was a dream come true. I had literally been daydreaming about a computer game that involved that time period when I stumbled across a copy of that game in a discount bin at Toys R Us. I had the whole family with me, the kids were still really little, and I had wandered away from them because I was getting bored waiting on them to make up their minds. I think we left with me being the most excited of the bunch.

And Johan looks like my son's former roommate from about 5 years ago. How weird is that?

Great picture.

Where is Fred? Wasn't he with the company since the beginning?

A lot was said about Johan's young face or round glasses.

NOT ENOUGH was said about that t-shirt. :)

What's HOLP???

What's HOLP???

Well L-P obviously stands for lead programmer ... High octane lead programmer.
Heavy output lead programmer.
Highly obscure lead programmer ... erm ... hands on lead programmer.
Head office lead programmer.
Heavenly ordained lead programmer. Yeah that sounds about right. That it?

Kids today have forgotten Hole? They used to be pretty big in the mid 90s
