Well, we were talking about this in the HOI2 forum, and talking about the different libertable nations. I mentioned I would Like to see a game where every nation and the whole world has gone to pieces. I kinda got the idea from "Crimson Skies", in which the US has fallen apart from stress brought on by the depression. So my thinking was something along these lines.
Well, been thinking about it, and you could make it a mod or something. Call it "A World Apart" mod. Hvae it start in like 1929 with the stock market crash, and have it stretch until 1936. It could start with everything all cumfuy cozy , and then a bunch of events fire in like the first month, and everything gose to hell. Germany, the US, Japan, India, Burma North Africa, another arab revolt, just everything goes up in smoke! You can have your own leaders, wars spill over into neighboring countries, total uber-chaos. If I knew more on how to mod i'd actually do something about with this idea.
Things like the rise of hitler and the Nazis in bavaria, and a group of events for that. Then you have the Reds in Germany, around Berlin and the east. The Wiermar still holds on in the west, capital in Bonn, or something.
Britian has sepreteast in India, Burma, Egypt, the Sudan(the mhadi returns
) Malay, The Dutch have to fight with the indonesians prematurly, while France has to but up with the Viet mhin forces, and spertists in Algeria, Morocco, Tunsia, and the like.
Italy has problems in NA too, but also has open riots and clashes between Imperial and Facist forces(assuming things go sour at the start of depression)
Eastern Europe and Yugoslavia break apart in to a mass war. Hunagry invades Rumania for translvania, and the Corats try to break away from Beograds rule. the Checz try to stop Hungary and add the Rumanians, but their country is split in too, the Slovaks wanting to support the Rumanians(for fear of Hungary coming after them next), while the Checzs just dont see it as the important. Bulgaria supports Hungary, and attacks the Serbs. Greece has to watch out for a powerful bulgaria, and a rising Turkey, who sees the new arab revolt, and eastern europe war as a chance to take back lost lands, espically with the major powers bogged down, or completly broken apart.
Russia is still fighting a civil war, with the reds and whites well entrenched aginst each other, the Czar is dead, but the fight goes on. Spertisit break off Ukraine, Belorussia, Baltic states, Places along the border with turkey, and other turkic people in central asia. The civil war spills over into mongolia and western sinkiang, which prookes some kind of response from China.
China is a total mess, with Chiang Kai-shecks northern offensive not being as successful. Now the Nationals are trying to hold their gains from loacl warlords, and then commies start their uprisings. Japan is in a heap of trouble with Korean speretisits, and a deep divide in the country between the military oligarcy and those for a constutional monarchy. They can try to exert power over China, but it will be half assed at best, seeing as Korea isnt safe, and they country is racked with civil strife.
The USA dosnt exist. They break apart in to something like 7 or 8 factions. You have New England, Dixie, Texas, The Union(or whats left of them in the north. You have random warlords in the mid-west. and some other states on the west coast. Texas is in a war with both Dixie and Mexico. Dixie is at war with the texas and New England( they have to land border so it manily naval battles) the Union is trying to get its act together and reunite the country using propoganda, money, and froce. And I dont know about the rest yet.
South America is involved in a mass war, like the one in eastern europe, over land rights, resources, and other things like that, maybe even a few ideaological battles(FRAC, or other stuff like that). Latin america isnt in a really good position, fearing the local war may spill over into their region soon.
Spanis civil war comes early, and spills over in to portugal, which is involved in fighting in Afirca
African native forces are running around everywhere, anyone with territory their is fighting someone kind of native malitial gurrilla force.
Scandanvia is also fighting. Either aginst eachother, or, in finlands case, aginst the russians, both white and red, trying to gain independance. Sweeden trying to help the finns, and Norway fighting denmark and sweaden, and white and red russians that have spilled over into their territory.
