Hey guys. This will be my first AAR ever, and I'm asking you guys to vote on which one!
I don't consider myself a particularly good EU3 player, I've never formed the HRE or Italy or done a WC or any of that, but I'm interested in Roleplaying a country as to how it was at that time with sliders and the like, so without further ado, here are your choices, complete with overall goals!
1: Castille.
Played it about 50 times, never gets old
Goals are the generic ones I set myself, act as a Catholic crusader, narrowminded serfdom etc, form roughly Spains real life empire with some deviations and obtain Spanish-and catholic-supremacy in Europe and the new world.
2: England.
Not played this one much. Aims will be to obtain the entire north/west coastline of france(if I can) and to carve out an empire in the Historic places-india, australia and especially Canada and Eastern america. Not too sure about religion and what kind of sliders to go with for this one, you can make some suggestions yourself if you guys want to
3: Ottoman Empire.
Not played this one much either.
Goals will be to conquer up to Vienna in direct territory, dismantle the HRE, control all of NA and the Med, and in particular, all territory around the Black Sea(the Black sea is our sea
If I get enough demand for it I'll try and conquer India too, because there is no originality in these choices whatsoever.
Sliders will be as you'd expect, free subjects and innovative being stand outs.
4: France. (Told you there was no originality)
The Classic here.
I'm aiming to first of all gain all territory in frances historical borders, as well as gain territory in Italy(corsica, milan and MAYBE naples), catalonia(northeasternmost spain) and eventually get to the borders of Napoleons empire at it's height. Sliders are as you'd expect, centralised serfdom for the most part.
5: Poland
Something I've tried to play and failed.
Territorial goals will be to conquer all territory between Berlin and Moscow, ensure it's all Polonised(culturally Polish) by the end of the game, become HRE and(this is my favorite bit) establish a 'wall of vassals' on my eastern borders. I may or may not go for Polish brazil
Government will be Noble Republic(With max centralisation) for the most part and the sliders will be as you'd expect otherwise.
6: Naples.
Probably the one with the lowest chance of success.
Goals will be to form italy, conquer libya and tunisia and then.....I don't know. Whatever I like! i may recreate the roman empire, go for an overseas empire or do all sorts of things, but this is the oddball of the group.
Sliders will be free subjects, centralisation and probably slightly naval.
And there's your choices everyone! You have one week to decide, but now it's time for the ground rules.
-No reloading like I do in every other SP game, if I lose a war I lose it.
-Only one cheat allowed(the kill heir cheat, only to be used on MYSELF and to be used sparingly to change dynasties if they get old, if I kill a bad heir and get an amazing one after, I am obliged to kill him off too.)
-No gaming the system.
-Roleplaying shall be used shamelessly to justify what would normally be bad decisions, slider moves or bad events.
-And all the other generic rules I cannot be bothered to remember.
If there's enough demand for something specific to happen, I shall do my damnest to make it happen.
I would also like to thank blklizard, who's intro format I have borrowed and who inspired me to give the choice to the AARlanders like this.
Finally, I am not an especially good writer, and since exams are going on at the moment, updates will be irregular.
And that's all folks!
Note: This is using the 5.2 patch.
