In the cohh streams we saw chassis components reassembled and instantly having a full loadout of weaponry that didn’t get subtracted from the leopard/argo stockpile. All of that weaponry was previously destroyed or separately available for salvage, so assembling the chassis essentially produced an extra copy of all that equipment out of thin air.

Or, is this working as intended?

Seems strange to me too that you get a fully equiped mech after assembling although most of the components were destroyed, not salvaged or not on stock in your storage.

Also strange seems that you can salvage 3 mechparts when you kill the pilot, even if the mech was already heavily damaged before... it's like only the killing condition counts and not the condition of the mech at the point of destruction.

So for example if you headcap a panther, you can loot all 3 chassis components and the PPC... then you get the fully reassembled Panther with stock loadout from those 3 components, plus the PPC that you also salvaged, so somehow magically you now have 2 PPCs where there was only ever one to begin with.

That's how its looking so far.

I guess this is why Kiva said in a Q&A a while back that they would be working on salvage balancing up until the last minute before launch.

Just saw this again on bombadil's playthrough. He got his third panther piece and boom fully fitted mech.
Yeah, it should be noted that in both Cohh and Bombadil's chat-streams there was a significant amount of confusion and misunderstanding when it was immediately understood the newly-formed Mech was armed.

Ya people were trying to reconcile what they saw. With out actually seeing the code my assumption is a flag is set to generate the mech into inventory when 3 pieces are obtained. This generation appears to pull the mech from the stock tables, so you get everything from the mech. My guess for a fix would be create a second table with the mechs having nothing.

It should also be noted that instant construction of the chassis when it takes weeks to replace an arm is also a little on the cheap side.

I had not even considered that!

GREAT catch.

It should at the very least take a number of weeks... perhaps one per Weight Class.
