Greetings dear Victoria fans! I have to ask you some questions about this intricate game. All of the questions will be dedicated to the Ai and it's behaviour in original Victoria patched to 1.4.

1) Does the Ai countries learned how to exchange their provinces with player and each other?

2) Does the Ai-controlled countries handing their divisions and fleets to the countries that are not their allies?

For now this is all I want to know. Thanks in advance for any honest and detailed answers.

1) I've never seen them exchange provinces with each other. The AI isn't smart when dealing with humans, you can trade 2 provinces for 3 from the AI if you have good relations.

2) Not that I know of.

Too bad, I hoped for better. The game having a great concept but the dumb Ai screw it all. (the same as with the other Paradox games like For the glory) I meant not only when player offer exchanges but when the Ai itself makes an offers of such kind. So it follows that Ai doesn't know how to make such offers. Am I right?

I suspect that it means that he doesn't do it despite of the thing that it is possible. Thank you again for answer. So dissapointed.

It does make trade offers, and the AIs do trade a lot of times with each other. It's just the trading of provinces I've never seen.

Edit: I noticed you have an address under your avatar. If it's your own home address, you probably shouldn't have it there. I don't think anything bad will happen in this forum, but some people can get funny ideas. :)

And this is the main issue for me, because the AI AGAIN can't use all of the game's opportunities. Then why did Paradox instilled them to the game? For me it ruins the perfect game completely.

Yea right. I just filled out the form for registration and that is why my home adress is there. I guess what you thinking about. Paradox will send killer to me to dispose of one who is critisizing their games and the defective Ai. Am I right? Well then first thing they need to do is to find me inside of the vast lands really far away from Europe. Or perhaps you want to visit me. Then you are welcome if you are a nice girl, I will definitely find something for us to do. ;)

The AI is pretty good at tech-trading between AI countries , though. If you amass badboy and can't trade techs very well, you'll see most advanced countries out-teching you quite nicely, even minors.

Apart from that I've only seen them trade claims buildings, which kind of works, but not too well. Granted the nations colonizing the same area probably don't like each other that much either.

By the way, they don't seem to be able to improve this aspect much. The AI in EU3 never seems to sell provinces, even when it would make a lot of sense and the Victoria 2 won't even have the Negotiation option any more.

In Victoria 1 the problem isn't that major, though. Just don't use the beads for Manhattan exploit and the game won't be majorly unbalanced.
