I like a lot the idea of this trait, but I find one question kind of weird.

The bonus is tied to the planet itself, not the planet type.

I do understand that the idea is that older generations will pass survival techniques to the new ones, but I think that planets of the same class should have a headstart tied to the bonus.

For example:

If I have 30% bonus on a arid planet, new arid planet colonizations should have at least 50% of it (15%) as a headstart.
