Duplicate Acclaimed knights won't auto equip tournament prize, unless gifted

Acclaimed knights won't auto equip tournament prize, unless gifted

Description​

After winning tournament prize, none of the acclaimed knights auto-equip their prize artifacts, even though the slots are all empty. They will auto-equip if the artifact is gifted by my character though. Kinda losing the point of having a knight winning the artifact, unless it's for me to steal it later.

After they die all their inventory is destroyed. Since acclaimed knight have a succession system, I expected their successor to receive their stuff (or at least their equipped weapon and armor)

Steps to reproduce​

- Have an acclaimed knight win a grand tournament
- Verify they receive an inventory artifact
- Check inventory, see that they're not equipping it

- Gift an artifact to said knight
- Even tho the warning says they cannot equip (which is a bug in itself), they will in fact auto-equip it

It's not only acclaimed knights, I gifted my wife a necklace (event during wedding) and she refuses to equip it.

You can reproduce it with event during wedding where you gift a small trinket to your spouse. If your spouse is unlanded they will never equip it, at least that's what happened in my games once or twice.

Unlanded courtiers cannot equip artifacts. That's been the case like that since artifacts were introduced. Try gifting anything to one of your courtiers and they won't equip it. Only landed rulers do it.

yeah this holds true of all artifacts generated for courtiers. unlanded characters will never equip the artifacts in their inventory - the only way to get them to equip anything is to gift it to them while they have an open slot so they auto-equip it

i find it strange that qa cant reproduce this since its, like, basically guaranteed to happen if you just hit unpause and let the game run
