Summary

Achievement "This is Persia" does not fire

Description

I'm finishing up a Zoroastrian custom nation > Persia run, and I've conquered and cored all of Anatolia, Egypt, and Greece, as necessary for the aforementioned achivement. Which, as stated, does not fire. The only thing I can think that I might have done "wrong" was renaming to Iran, but I doubt that would disqualify me from the achievement.

I'm already pretty bummed out that the "Rekindling the flames" achievement doesn't work for custom nations, and now this. Am I missing something or does changing the country name really prevent this? If so, that should be a bug, not a feature.

Steps to reproduce

1. Form Persia
2. Rename to Iran (possibly relevant, possibly not)
3. Conquer the necessary regions and wait for nothing to happen.

From the eu4 wiki:

  • Most achievements don't allow any custom nations on the map(exceptions are noted in the list).

This is Persia isn't an exception to the rule that custom nations prevent almost all achievements. There are only a small number (I think it's less than 10) of achievements which can be gained with a custom nation in the game.

Not a bug, working as designed I'm afraid.

Oh, well thanks for the clarification but that’s an absurd rule for formables
