Information

I have disabled all mods

Yes

Required

Summary

Achievements are not coming to Steam

Expected Result

Give deserved achievements

Actual Result

I earned a lot of achievements, but from a certain point on, I stopped receiving achievements after fulfilling the conditions for receiving them.

Steps to reproduce

I played as usual. The city was getting bigger. The more the number of residents of the city became, the more often the game crashed. I started making a lot of saves, restarting the game over and over again. To prevent the game from crashing, I would pause the game, point the camera at an empty piece of land without roads, buildings, or anything else, and then save (otherwise the game would crash). And that day, I noticed that I had stopped getting the achievements I deserved. There are achievements on Steam called "Град Небесный" (Разблокируйте монументы), "Мегаполис" (Достигните численности населения 100 000 человек), but these achievements were not unlocked after completing the requirements for obtaining the achievement. I didn't get them, and neither did some others.

Did you turn on any of the vanilla 'mods' such as Unlimited Money?

Or, did your city ever have to take a forced loan due to bankrunptcy?

Either of those will disable achievements in that city forever, I'm afraid.

I too have problems with achievements in CS1. on my secondary account, I tried doing the 1,001 nights achievement and it doesn't register. I ran it 72 hours, which worked on my main account (this account), but it refuses to register on the secondary one.

I even did a new city with using the "Achieve It!" mod, in case some mod got stuck in memory somehow. still no achievement.

I am now using -noWorkshop launch option (it shows -noWorkshop in the game's main menu of workshop advertisements.) on a different city, still with no achievement ding.

Also, the base game has increased the x3 speeds to 2-seconds equals one day, so it should take 50% faster, since the release day, 24-hour day took 3 seconds for 1-day.

I've not seen other achievements register either.

I also have After Dark DLC on both accounts. I also recently use Family Share on my other account. But I used to get achievements too.

I also have 35/127 Achievements, if maybe the achievements aren't working properly, or they may be stuck at 35 achievements.

Or maybe 1,001 nights is borked somehow?

1.2% of the player base have it, so it seems to be fine. And the fact you got it on one of your account supports that.

How it does not work on a second account though I have no idea! Very odd.

How about if you use -noWorkshop -disableMods ?

And of course, if you are letting it run 72 hours hands-off you may not see a forced loan occur.

I have already disabled all in-game mods.

I play it on an empty map, so there is no debt. It just stays at a constant zero balance.

But my first time doing the achievement was like almost 10-years ago. After Dark DLC. The first DLC.

Also, I have gotten other achievements to trigger in the mean time. (after the 72-hours I should have gotten the achievement)

Maybe it's the achievement itself?

I think I figured it out last night. I think it is an operator error. LOL

The achievement is for 1,001 Nights, then I realized I always play with the "Day/Night Cycle" feature disabled, so it is always day time.

I will let it run and hopefully get the ding for it. I see no foreseeable issues.

Yes, once I had to take a forced loan due to bankruptcy. It's all clear now, thanks!
