how does one add a colonial dynamism to a non-colonial dynamic country? I changed the dynamism=0 to everything from 1-4, with no results, colonialnation=no to colonialnation=yes and colonyattempts=9999 just like the 'real' colonial dynamics, and various combinations of those, but cannot seem to make any change  I think I need to provide the Colonial Dynamism with a start/end date, but i don't know what line to edit in the savegame, can some more experienced soul help me out?

okay, when I try to edit that file, i can't save my changes, since it 'contains elements incompatible with .csv' I'm using Excel, BTW. Tried just adding Irelands "tag" and values for colonists similar to England, but no dice in the game, still the old 1 colonist a year. Has anyone modified this file successfully?

correction- the changes DID save after all, they just had no effect. I put EIR in just before END, and then copied all the values for England in the appropriate places, yet no effect on game <except norton crashguard says EU 'crashed' after I exit the game normally w/out incident> truely stumped, but someone must have figured this out by now... If i can't add a nation, can I replace one <I think Oman gets colonial dynamism, when I don't think it really should>

Still no go, I replaced OMA (oman?) with EIR (Eire), and gave her values copied from russia w/out any change happening in the game, I also coppied russia's colonial dynamism setting (=3) in the save game. All done with wordpad. You can't tell me SOMEONE hasn't tried to add a CD before, and done it :D is sacrafising poultry involved?

Halleluja! hehe, my saved game was jan 1560, so I'll play through a year to see if it worked

well 1561 came and went with no change :( I'm in the middle of an AAR, so I'm not going to restart for Colonial Dynamism, but if anyone can figure out how to add it on-the-fly i'd appreciate it

If you want to create a colonial dynamism for the country you are playing with then just press F12, and then type event 26 on the new screen.

If you want to create a colonial dynamism for some other country:
Lets say you are playing as England and want to create the colonial dynamism for Venice, then you should follow these steps:
1. Start a new IGC with Venice and then load your savegame file.
2. Type event 26 and save the game.
3. Start a new IGC with England and then load the savegame file.
4. Save the game, and now you will be playing as England and have a colonial dynamism for Venice.

<mmmmmmwa> thank you!

Now I have to decide whether to go back in my AAR game to 1560 (when I was going to add Dynamism) or keep going where I am.
