That's a very helpful PDF you've posted but I'd love to have a bit more to base any changes on. It was my impression that mining did not really take off in Jharkhand until much later for instance and the scale and era (pdf only says "pre-modern" and that's quite a long period of time) of some of the operations that are mentioned here is very unclear.
It's quite possible that we've missed out on some Iron in India given that our main sources have been Ain-i-Akbari and what was known to be exported by European traders (who generally would not have had an interest in Iron). Many of the provinces you bring up though are in the Indian Tribal areas and it seems unlikely (but of course not impossible) that they exported Iron in this era on a scale that would mean it made sense to change the in-game trade good. To be clear: I realize that this is quite an assumption and could well be wrong but to change things I'd love to have more to go on.
