As a little gift for this iconic CK2 mod reaching its 1.0 version, I've decided to spare some time to draw some less vanillaish portraits for our beloved Valyrians, just download and extract into your AGoT mod folder to overwrite the current set: http://www.mediafire.com/download/wdmwxwb3w9v83cw/Valyrian Portraits - UNZIP AND DUMP IN THE MOD.rar

Ta-ta.

Edit: Patched for version 1.1 as requested: http://www.mediafire.com/download/m...ortraits+v1.1+-+UNZIP+AND+DUMP+IN+THE+MOD.rar

Of course, that's the point. Blood of the Dragon and all.

Thank you all for the feedback, I hope you're enjoying the addition.
I understand the other points on the details, but, as for not merging with other portraits, that seems strange, I didn't really get that impression when testing the set inside the mod.

Yes, all clothes and headgear are new.

Eh, sorry, but there's already a lot of things draw and code into the Warhammer mod yet. If the modders of AGoT think some of my other human portraits there could be used in this one they're free to ask, of course.

It was brought to my attention the addon wasn't compatible with the last version, so I quickly compatched it, link in the first post. It should be fine, but I haven't tested it again.

Thank you, yes, the idea was to not make them look entirely human.

1) Female eyes are very small except for #11 in the character designer. When combined with dark purple eye colour, it makes the eyes very hard to see at all and it makes female characters look kind of blind unless you're squinting really hard.
Yes, it was brought up before, I can see how the current shape is not the best one, it could use a little adjustment.
2) The physical attributes don't match up with some of the other portrait types. For example, for western and Arab portraits, chin #2 in the character designer is a fat chin. #2 for the modded Valyrians isn't a fat chin though. If you breed Valyrians with non-Valyrians, this creates the possibility that the children don't look anything like their family members if they inherit the non-Valyrian graphical type and also inherit a fat chin from a Valyrian parent who didn't actually have one.
That is because in Geheimnisnacht the fat chin is tied to a fat trait, rather than being genetic, so I'm used to avoid it entirely when drawing. I guess in this case you could say the fat gene in Valyrians is a recessive one...
3) Hair is very dark. Maybe I have the lore wrong, but wouldn't a lighter silver-ish colour be better?
I've tried, the problem with white hair is that it easily loses too much depth, so it ends up looking like a flat white paper, like in the mod's basic Valyrian portraits. There probably is a way to balance it out, it would need to make a few tryouts.
4) This is a really, really good addon. I hate the generic western portraits from the base game and your Valyrian portraits are a major improvement. I'd love to see another custom portrait set to replace the generic western ones completely. Thanks for making this for the community. You are very talented.
Thank you, I appreciate the feedback.
Sadly, I'm very busy with the other mod I work in, so it is unlikely I'll manage to do anything more for this one anytime soon.

The neck is a new one. What do you mean exactly? Is it the coloring or the shape?

I see, alright, thanks for explaining.
