I would like to know witch buttons i should use to advance and slow down time on my laptop since laptops do not have the + and - keys like on a normal keaboards "numerical" section?
The "other" + and - signs do not seem to work in combination with the crtl key. They do however work to zoom the map in and out.

Is there perhaps a way to edit some file in order to change the shortcut-commands to some toher keys??

please help!

have a nice day....

Don't know the keyboard layout of whatever model you have.

In general there are three solutions:
1) On most laptops there is a key which convertd some of your keys into a numeric key pad. Maybe a fn key or something, you would have to consult the owners manual or call their tech support.
2) Use a keyboard remapper.
3) Control the speed using the options menu instead.

Using the pulldowns to change time is not a workable solution. One is constantly changing speeds to suit the situation. There should be something right on the main screen to click to go faster or slower.

Can anyone help out with a Dell laptop? Dell support was ZERO help. I know ctl and insert on the 8200 slow time down but nothing increases it. Any help or suggestions that anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated as I am limited in the time I get to play and most of it has to be on my laptop.

Well there is a pause key on the screen, so you could just keep it on a faster speed, then use the pause key for giving orders.

Also have you tried ctrl-shift-plus/Minus.

Thanks. I knew there was some key that did that, just not the one for that particular model.
