so if anyone can check the mods im using and tell me which ones i don't need, and which ones have an "upgraded" version...

someone told me that i might not need Sharp Junction Angles, and instead get both Fine Road Tools and Fine Road Anarchy.. not sure if getting rid of 1 mod in exchange for 2 mods is beneficial.. and main RICO mod is not needed, just keep RICO high density fix




i'd greatly appreciate the tips..
 
  • Winter Buildings Unlocker isn't working atm because European Buildings Unlocker isn't working.
  • Sub-Buildings Enabler - read the mod's description and you'll have your answer
  • Terraform Tool 0.9 - pointless when you have Extra Landscaping Tools, which is newer and does more
  • Touch This 1.1 - there's a version 2
  • Sharp Junction Angles - abandoned and buggy. Get Fine Road Anarchy instead (you don't need Fine Road Tool for it to work)
  • Rush Hour - no newer version, but be ware the mod isn't working fully and is likely to break at some point
  • RICO main mod - do you mean you have both Ploppable RICO by AJ3D AND the Ploppable RICO High Density Fix from Whitefang Greytail? That's a bad idea since they conflict, remove the old one and kepe High Density Fix
  • Prop Line Tool - broken atm but will be fixed
  • Network Nodes Editor - no point in this since you have MoveIt. It also doesn't get updated anymore
  • One-way Street Arrows - built into the game now
  • Local-Only Transport - mod description is right. Why are you using this? If only for train stations, then you don't need it anymore.
  • Mark A Route - works
  • Fire Spread - this is built into the game so remove
Also I would really recommend you don't keep ModTools and all the Asset AI-Changer/Itemclass-Changer/PrefabAI-Changer/UICategory-Changer/UIPriority-Changer mods around except for when you need them. The latter ones are really old and not intended for the inside a city. You can favorite this collection to easily find them when you need them in the asset editor.
 
i know about that thread.., waiting for a few days has made me review my current modlist and check on which ones are likely outdated and needed replaced, and which ones to keep...

  • Sub-Buildings Enabler - im subbed in the Metropolitan University Wing A and B by Mythyc, and it says on mod that you needed sub building enabler to plop down the functional metro station... i guess im definitely uninstalling sub building enabler mod soon..
  • Touch This 1.1 - i asked mod author and he said 1.1 isn't a tool compared to v2.. so can anyone explain me the differences between v1 and v2, since v2 mod doesn't have much details
  • Sharp Junction Angles - definitely getting FRA and FRT now... i just have to get to used to the ui from SJA to FRA/FRT..
  • Rush Hour - so custom events are currently not working.. is mod author working on updating mod or has he moved on?? is bloodypenguin going to takeover as well or someone else?? lol
  • RICO main mod - i have the rico mod by aj3d and the high density fix by whitefang.. i guess time to uninstall aj3d's mod... is boformer or bloodypenguin likely going to work on main mod?? also, is the local settings of growable buildings i've changed needed to redo if i uninstall aj3d's version?? another question, if i unsub to aj3d's rico mod, is the workshop rico settings still going to work, since it requires aj3d's rico mod??

i didn't played skylines for nearly 2 years, so i missed what mods became default in the game...if i recall correctly, last time i played the game is before art deco dlc dropped... so definitely a long time..
 
The shortcuts from SJA works for FRA too.
Rush Hour's creator doesn't have time for the mod anymore, no word on if anyone is taking over the mod
No word on anyone taking over the original RIOC mod either. Workshop RICO settings is just settings like any RICO building, so it doesn't matter which version of RICO you're using.
I dunno what topic you're talking about - this post doesn't list it as broken anymore and hasn't for a while.
Fire spread was added in ND.
