After playing CK windows starts in 800x600

He guys. Purchaed CK last week. Having a problem. After I finish playing CK it goes back to by normal 1400x900 widescreen. However the next time i start my PC its in 800x600. This only happens after I play CK. The strange thing is that it goes back to the proper resolution right after i quit the game. But every reboot is in the lower resolution.

So it's your Windows that gets the wrong resolution, not CK?

This may be caused by the bink video that is played each time CK starts. Try renaming the AVI folder to AVI.off and see if the problem keeps occuring. If it does, you should look in your event log what is going on -- CK cannot change your windows resolution (it only changes the resolution of its own screen), but if this does occur every time it appears your videocard cannot properly recover from the resolution switch.

It might also help if you set CK to run in 1400x900, this can be done by editing settings.txt (provided you have DV installed, you seem to own it).

thanks for the reply. I will give it a shot.

yeah its odd issue for sure. I start CK, play it, quit it and windows is fine. no issues at all. but the next time I boot up my computer the windows resolution is 800x600. this only happens after I run CK.

i will try your suggestions and let you know how it goes
