I'm playing as AGCEEP and I gained Kongo as a vassal about 50 years ago. I have a land border with them. It's been tons of fun, but this is the first major bug I've encountered.

I raised them up to 200 relations... the option to annex didn't exist. They're also Catholic.

I tried entering a military alliance... the option to annex was still non-existent.

It says all I need is them as a vassal for at least 10 years and at least 190 relations.... why isn't this working out right?

I think it's not a bug, it's just something that prevent you from annexing them, but if it's a not something like that perhaps you don't fill all the requirements.

You have to:
Have a RM
Be on the same alliance
190+ Relations
The "victim" country needs to be your vassal to be for more than 10 years.
Have a land border.

I think that's all you need, but if it's ain't something to prevent you from annexing them nor missing requirements, then AGCEEP team should look into it.

PS: Oh next time I think you should post anything related to AGCEEP in AGCEEP sub-forum.

Actually I fixed it, my colony got massacred so I added one and now I can annex them. (I also had to join an alliance with them)

Still, I did find a small bug since the annex screen doesn't mention the need for a land border or the alliance.

You also need to be able to form a royal marriage with the target country (if they hadn't been a vassal), right? In other words, their religion needs to be compatible enough with yours.

That's for diplo-vassalization right? Or is a RM for diplo-vassalisation and compatible religions for diplo-annex?

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. For example, Russia can never diplo-annex a force-vassalised Ottoman Empire since orthodox is not compatible with sunni. Or: a protestant Brandenburg cannot annex a catholic force-vassalised Austria, until the Edict of Tolerance, after which it becomes possible (because the edict makes them compatible).

Where 'compatible' is defined as 'being able to form a royal marriage with that religion'. So for diplo-annex you have to be able to form a royal marriage with a nation with that religion, but you don't have to have a RM with the nation you're about to annex.
