Whenever I DOW someone and annex them it usually freezes a month or two later.

Ex: As Germany, I prefer to take over other countries quicker, so I have more resources to fight France.

Ex2: I'm an Aussie person, so I usually try to become the man of the Pacific, and take the Philippines... that worked, but FREEZE

Ex3: As the USA I annexed everyone but the UK, Germany, European Italy, USSR, n Central Asian things in between... But it doesnt freeze? Well after a while it did, but I got a goo long game out of that (when you're sick for the weekend amazing things can happen)

I know the autosave solution, but retracing steps is just so... so... ugh

I picked up HoI-2 Armageddon again.... Greece takes Albania.. fine.. Bulgaria... fine... turkey!? still fine... declare war on Republican spain in the midst of a civil war.. 3 weeks later... "HoI2 needs to close" "sorry if you were in the middle of something"

Does being superbly ahistorical just mess with events and cause game confusion? If so, I'm ready to play Germany one more time and put this up... maybe for good

Redwolf,

HoI2 (like most Paradox games) has the tendency of crashing after prolonged play. Going ahistorical will increase beligerence, and thus probably the load on the system due to war. So the question is: is it fixed by reverting to a save game or not (i.e. an EXE or CORE issue)?

yeah autosave works, but losing progress just annoys the mess out of me...
