So, I've continued to attempt a unification of Italy with Savoy on Ironman mode and I finally thought I found the game where I'd do it. I had some minor setbacks, but was doing pretty well; in fact, I was HRE emperor. That changed in an instant due to the AI screwing me over. Due to previously owning Provence, I had a core on it. France took it early on in the game and I didn't think much of it as I would never be getting it back. (France was doing very well in that game) So I try to befriend France so they at least won't attack me again for Piedmont or some other province they'd claim. It worked and I was considered friendly to them and thought my western borders would be secure. That was until the Ottomans destroyed France in a war and give me back Provence; France instantly DOWed me after that and they ended up taking a load of provinces in the peacedeal, negating all my gains. So, I know this is WAD, but it still kinda sucks. Perhaps you should be prompted if you want to accept the territory being given to you or not. What to you guys think?
