Allies will now join wars long after they started. However, as a player fighting a war, stopping to constantly see if your allies will join is not something that you are looking to do, especially if you're in a situation where you actually need your allies to join. An alert when allies are willing to join your wars would really help with tedium in this case.

If there is concern about too many alerts with all the suggestions that have made, I'd suggest removing the "Country is at war" alert to offset the new alert. It's 100% repetitive and gives less information than the war shields at the bottom of the screen. Of course, I can simply disable that alert (or any others I don't care about) so offsetting might not be necessary.

Good idea.

While you're at it add auto call if they're willing to join as a check box. For example I don't want France to join if I'm attacking a HRE minor that I can handle myself and we both want provinces. But if Austria gets involved in the war later I do want to call in France even if I have to give up on certain provinces.

I don't follow your example. You don't want France to join at the start, there's a checkbox you can untick for that. Later Austria does join the war, so you go and call France then. Where's the auto call here?
