I bought RoI and updated to the new patch but now all new save games become corrupt the moment I save. I'm not talking about pre-RoI, I realise they are incompatible. But now all the new ones I make are too. They also only take like a second to save which is highly unusually for my slow machine.

Hi, 1 second for saves sounds wrong. I have some questions, are only autosaves affected? Are you saving to steam cloud? Are you saving the game as compressed? Could you please upload a broken save for me?

No it's the normal manual saves. When I save them compressed it just creates a 0 kb file in a second which is broken. I can make an uncompressed save game but if I load it up the entire map is blacked out and I can't choose a character to play as so it is effectively broken aswell.

If I try uploading to cloud the game crashes with a runetime error. It does manage to make a broken save file though.

Here is the uncompressed save which I did manage to make:

Thanks for the quick reply!

The save seems to work fine for me, could you please upload the logs you generate when attempting to load this savegame. You can find them in My Documents/Paradox Interactive/Crusader Kings II/logs. Just compress the whole folder and upload it here.

Here you go, I hope I did it right.

Thanks again for your. I can't help but wonder if it might be some sort of hardware problem at least when I try to load the uncompressed save files. I run a 32 bit system.

Yes! It actually does. No saves become corrupt and I can load up both compressed and uncompressed without any trouble.

I had all the majour DLC's installed aswell as a bunch of facepacks and unit packs. I suppose my PC couldn't handle the pressure anymore.

Hi, it seems that your computer is probably reaching it's memory limits. We've increased the focus on memory optimizations and hopefully everyone will be able to run the game with all of the current dlcs available. But for now, I recommend you turn off the graphical enhancement packs you can live without.
