My alliance is at war with Moldova. My "allies" just broke vassalage with me, and just picked some other guy to be their King. So I want to leave the alliance, and (maybe) declare war on them myself.

But I can't leave the alliance. Is the Moldovan war the problem?

They were your vassals, so I suppose that you're the alliance leader. In this position you can't leave alliance, you must ban each ally from the alliance.

They were vassalized by event, after we allied. I'm using AGCEEP, and Hungary and Bohemia start out allied with Austria. Bohemia and Hungary are technically in "personal union" at the start of the GC, and the Austrian heir inherits both. Then both pick other Kings because the Hapsburg is only an infant.

I'm pretty sure Hungary is technically leader of the alliance -- their vassal Serbia is also a member.
