Ok, I have discovered two seemingly buggy things about alliances so far.

First is that if you bring an AI along in the war, and you are the leader, he can make peace and take territory for himself and for you, and you will still remain in the war, but Im never able to demand territory for my allies though.

Second thing:

In my Prussian AAR I was involved in war with Russia, with Austria(Leader) and Greece on my side. I then went to war with France whilst the war with Russia was still on. Austria joined me.

Sometime later, the French joined the russian alliance, while still at war with me, and this made the Russians and French wars join into one instead of two, and France was made alliance leader. And therefore when the event that fires when I hold Paris after 15th of Jan 1871 makes peace, the Russians also made peace through the same deal, and that war ended as well.

This is silly because in the french war I was leader, and in the russian war austria was leader. And even if the french joined the russian alliance, the wars shouldnt be merged as they were. Because this ripped Austria off, as they had taken almost half of Russia.

These are bugs right?

Probably - will check.

First one sounds wrong - but I have to check.

Second one I suspect is caused by the event enforced peace in the Franco-Prussian War.

Off to beta / Paradox.

This is true, I encountered the problem twice in a short time playing Germany. First I was at war with Russia with Austria as the leader. Russia offered me a separate pece with territories both for me and Austria. Austria got the provinces but remained at war. Later I was at war with France with Belgium as an ally. Belgium made a separate pece with the French but demanded only two territories for me! I remained at war and was able to grab even more provinces later.
