In my current game, AI that I allied accepts very bad deals where I take his spell and give him 1 mana.
Most of the trades are shown as very generous offers that will never be declined, with just couple of cases where it is flagged as offer that can be accepted.
In all cases, offer was accepted in next turn.
I was able to, in next 10 turns, to rob AI of all his spells for the same trade.
Some history regarding this AI:
He had very violent reactions, despite being weak.
Twice he offered over 1000 mana for peace and then broke it next time he was able to talk (so there was no chance for me do to any negotiation). The only reason I have not leveled down his domain to ashes was because at this stage of the game I had no units that can touch his tier 3 level city.
I was able to break this pattern by offering white peace (this was recently fixed in one of the patches).
And then, as soon as possible I offered him non-aggression treaty (if I didn't he would declare war again, despite having no army at all at this point), and few turns later the alliance.
In both offers, I also required one spell from him, which he gladly accepted.
And then we came to this current deal where he accepts to give away spells for 1 mana .

Koatl Great Mage should really have higher priority of building Koatl House building on starting resource, instead of Serpentarium. Kinda lame that Koatl leader has no access to Koatls.
