Just how in the heck do you get the allies to surrender as Germany? Its 1952 and WW2 is still going on. I annexed the USSR a decade ago, took India, the middle east and all of Africa by 1946 and took over the UK in 1948 (coulda done it alot sooner as easy as it was). Ive got the allies down to USA, UK, France, Netherlands, Canada, and Australia. Ive annexed all the others. Ive taken over all the Caribbean colonies, half of Canada and the North East United States, and Florida and still nobody will surrender... not even White Peace. Ive even nuked Washington DC, New York, Boston, and Quebec. No deal. (On that note, whats the point of nukes? they dont do anything, units in the province take no damage and there sure isnt any fallout cause they just stay there and take no damage)

So anyways, Im getting a little bored with this, I really dont feel like taking over every little island to try to stamp out the UK, France and the Netherlands at this point. This is plain stupid AI on the part of the allies, I expected pleas for peace years ago.

On another note, are the Chinese factions to much of pushovers? In real History Japan never beat them yet in every game Ive played Japan as mowed through them and pushed all the way to the Middle East

Well we haven't got round to actually rewriting any of the surrender events as of yet, so those are basically Vanilla. China being somewhat underpowered is being looked at for the next release as well.
As nukes being of little use I'm afraid I don't have a straight answer. Do you happen to have a save game where you've a nuke stockpile? If so please zip it and upload it into Mantis if you please (mantis.terranova.dk). That way we'll be able to look into it.

This is hopefully something that will be added in a future HoI3. If there is no practical reason for war, for a number of reasons, some sort of white peace should be possible. I am thinking of a successful German player having defeated the Soviet Union, having bombed the UK back to the stoneage, but unable to invade. Or worse, a Germany (or Soviet Union) controlling all of western Europe, with only the US and part of the Commonwealth left.

Nations in a major alliance will not end wars via the Diplomatic screen, whether "white peace" or any other offers - they are hard coded that way, I believe. The only way such nations will surrender is via events 9or you take them over and annex, of course).

Yep. I find HoI2 the best Paradox game to date, and there are only two really annoying things that drag it down. What you described here, the inability to make peace even if you have for all practical and sensible reasons won, and the AI cheating on range. (IE, start a war with Germany as Argentina, and behold, they will land in southern Argentina before you are able to say "WTF?")

For the first one I wouldn't feel bad about using the "acceptall" cheat to get around it.
