Well after a long time away from it, I decided to put down hearts of iron and go give Victoria a spin again. Now I know for a fact I uninstalled Victoria when I installed hearts of iron, when I put in the disk to install though it said it was already installed, however it can't find the file to play. When I click uninstall it can't find any files to uninstall, kind of a virtual catch-22. I've searched my computer high and low too and can't find any files related to Victoria. Does anyone have any help on how to fix this?

edit: sorry this probably should've been in the tech forum

I've had something similiar to this happen. What you'll need to do is go into My Computer, right click on the drive with Vicky in it, click Open, and run the setup.exe inside.

Yes I've tried that, but when I do it it just goes "victoria is already installed on this computer, setup with now exit"

I had this problem a few years ago, and I solved it by accessing the registry files and deleting everything to do with Paradox, Strategy First, and Victoria, and reinstalling the game afterwards.

Check this directory:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Paradox Entertainment\Victoria

(Paradox Entertainment can also be Strategy First)

If you don't know how, go to Run or a Command screen and type "regedit" to access it.

Double check to see if all folders are deleted in Program Files. This may sound like a stupid question, but did you uninstall the game using the Add/Remove Programs option? Or did you straight out delete the Victoria folder?

Well normally with anything I just go straight and delete the folder if this is a no-no.

I followed your advice though and it worked! So thank you very much, now I'm off to play :D
