Hey guys!

I saw a Mod a while back that would allow women to inherit, and (I think) you could play as them...with some restrictions. If I download this Mod, can I use it with a saved game?

Or will it break the game?

Thanks!

Without knowning which mod you exactly are referring to, it is almost impossible to answer this question

The best and easiest way to find out what happens if you install a mod is to make a complete copy of your CK-folder, apply the mod tho that copied game and then see what happens with your save-games when you load them.

It is easy to do. In whatever saved game file you wish, look for the realm you wish to modify, and change the inheritance law to semi_salic_female. Follow my link on my signature.

It wont allow you to have full absolute cognatic primogeniture (that is, first born inherits all regardless of gender), which is what I desperatly want. But it does mimic male preference primogeniture as it happened historically.

I will bump up the thread too, look for Damsels Not In Distress,

edit: Also, in DVIP: More Kingdoms (or addon) and the DVIP:Wales map, Jord has already set up some countries with the succession law. But it is still important to look up the FAQ in the Damsels thread to understand more fully what this means.
