On one of the menus of Hoi3 is apparently some credits/microtransaction system using gamersgate. to give a bit a background, I did not grow up with older paradox games, but I only buy games with their complete DLC bundles for cheap on keysites usually, though with hoi4 that is too expensive for right now. I was just wondering if there is some content that was exclusive to gamersgate that I can no longer access, since this game is quite old?

No exclusive content that I'm aware of, but I vaguely recall that there may have been a few graphics packs at one time, which I suspect were obsoleted by the last DLC. I haven't seen them listed since. Then again, I haven't looked at GG;s site since a few months after they lost their rights to sell Paradox game downloads. At this point, I'm getting them through GOG, since I will never deal with Steam again.
