Initially I had a problem with launching on Windows 24H2, I came to terms with this and just started playing for 30-40 minutes before crashing. Now the game won't start at all. I did everything, reinstalled the game, reinstalled the launcher, updated the drivers, installed redist, but nothing helps. I have a new (literally a couple of months) and not very powerful computer, but I still can’t play. I feel like I wasted my money. P.S if you need some information to help and for me to finally at least enter the game, I will upload it

What happens if you run ck3.exe directly from File EXplorer?

What patch, sorry? If you mean when will MS finally fix 24H2, I have no idea!

As to your game issue, your first screenshot says the game will not start at all from Steam. Yet you mention running it for 30 minutes ... is that ONLY if you run ck3.exe directly? Or sometimes it starts from Steam?

When I run ck3.exe. Don't you think it's strange that neither of you two is innocent?

I don't know what you mean by that last bit, I am sorry.

If the game runs from ck3.exe but not the Paradox launcher, I guess we have a launcher or other non-game issue.

Please make sure NONE of these files are set to run as the WIndows Admin user:

steam.exe
ck3.exe (in the Steam CK3/binaries folder)
dowser.exe (in the Steam CK3/launcher folder)
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2.2025.1/paradox launcher.exe
C:/users/{username}/AppData/Local/Programs/Paradox Interactive/bootstrapper-v2.exe

I have no idea what the devs think on this or any other issue, as I have no channel to them. If you feel this is a game bug then you are welcome to make a new thread in Bug Reports though, if no one has already.

A new computer with the same Windows 11 24H2 version will presumably have the same problem.

Andrew, let me fantasize a little. Just imagine, you have been wanting to play one game for a long time. You collect money, buy the entire add-on, but suddenly it turns out that it’s your own fault that it doesn’t work. I would have reinstalled this damned Windows a long time ago, but unfortunately I don’t have that option at all. Is this fair to ordinary users and players?

Maybe it’s worth hinting to both parties that something hasn’t been working for the 3rd month. And this is not an isolated case.

You are right, it is absolutely not fair to you or other affected players. Despite that, there is nothing I can do to help you get past it, I am sorry. I've tried, but there has been nothing that helped affected players. I really wish that was not the situation, but it is.

Unless you can revert to 23H2, or do a Windows reinstall with that version (which we know stops the problem) , all we can do is wait for MS to fix the problem they created.

Clearly you disagree and want the CK3 devs to fix it or work around it. That is completely understandable, of course. But I cannot get them to do that for you, and I do not know if it is even possible. They can hardly re-write the game to be as undemanding as unaffected games like CK2 for instance! But I again urge you to check if this has been reported in the Bug Reports forum; if so you are welcome to add your case and details to that thread. Or make a new one if it has not yet been posted there.

Sorry, but that reminds me a lot:

I updated the BIOS and all the drivers, what else could theoretically help?

The other thing 100% known to get past it is reverting to 23H2. If you can't do that, then a reinstall of Windows to that version only, if you can source it!
