I know that in the regular game, there is no way to annex the major nations. However, I don't feel this is realsitic at all. If you can annex a small nation, why not a large one? Anyways, is there any way to modify the savegame file in order to make a major (specificaly Poland) annexable? I've changed the tag in the savegame file to major= yes/no to no, and I'm not quite sure what else to do. Anyone have any info or possibly a savegame editor to fix this unrealistic feature?

Yep.

Delete all the other nations except one in the Grand Campaign file.

I kept France.

It doesn't really matter which nations stats you keep. Just as long as you change the abbreviation.

ENG for England
POL for poland.

You can try to modify the money, or provinces, but nothing happens. It will defulat these stats(Each nations individual stats) to whichever nations you choose as the abbreviation. ie all nations start with basically different amounts of money. If you leave Frances stats, and change the Abbr. to ENG you will have england with englands normal qualities.

This way only the country you are playing will be considered a major. All other will be minors.

You should ask this in the FAQ section.
