We have a very big thank you to give as well as a hearty welcome today, everyone.

First, the thank you. I'm sad to say that Meisoohaityu has stepped away from his Moderator role due to that thing we call "life". We can't thank him enough for not only embracing the responsibilities of growing this community and keeping it on track but also for helping with the transition from the old BATTLETECH forum to the new one and for coming to GenCon with us last summer. It was a pleasure to get to know him both online and in person. Luckily, with the game coming out, I'm sure he won't be leaving the community any time soon! Please thank him for all his diligence and hard work!

And, we want to give a rousing welcome to Jade_Rook, who is well known around these parts! We are so glad he is able to take up the Moderator mantle at what is sure to be a busy time here on the forum. Be kind as he learns the ropes! ;)

First I'd like to say, Congratulations to @Jade_Rook! It is a great team you are joining, and I know you will fit in extremely well. They are a great group of people and I know you will enjoy your time being part of the team. I know I did :).


Thank you to everyone for all the kind words, both @HBS_Dagger and the community. It wasn't an easy decision to step away, but a lot of new things are going on in my life (all good, so no worries :) ), but it does have the side effect of taking up a lot of my time and energy, and consequently that has been pulling me away from my duties as Moderator. Regardless, I will still be here and posting on the forums (can’t get a rid of me that easily), so I have no plans of leaving such an awesome community any time soon :).

Harebrained Schemes and the forum staff have been absolutely excellent to work with and I will miss collaborating with them greatly. They have been a big help and great inspiration, and I will always remember my time as a Moderator fondly. Being able to meet many of the HBS team when volunteering at their booth at GenCon, and meeting other fellow Moderators and forum members was an amazing experience and one I will always remember.

Thank you to HBS for putting their faith and trust in me as a Moderator, you are an amazing and talented group and it has been a pleasure to help. I also want to thank my fellow Moderators for all of your assistance and support, and thank you to the community for making my job as a forum Moderator an easy one :).

Yours has always been a strong and steady voice in our Community, greatly respected and much appreciated. :bow:

Thank you everone!

It has been an absolute joy to be a part of this community and watch it grow over the last couple years. It is an honor to help out however I can.

@MeiSooHaityu Thank you for all you have done! I can only hope to continue the tradition of excellence that you and the rest of the team has here. <o

The iconic Changing of the guard, mixed in with so much American fluff. (Especially the Independence day salute rubbish) This is a crisp/chip stuck in the throat moment for a an Englishman. ;)

I pull rank as my Grand Father was a proud member of the Scots Guards in London.

It's a bitter pill only made better by the appointment of the new Mod :)
