What is Interregnum and Why is it so special?

Interregnum is the premier alternative history mod for EU2. History's losers become history's winners in a world that is recognizable, yet distinct.

Interregnum's 'majors' include:

Al-Andalus
Abbasid Caliphate
Bavaria
Brittany
Burgundy
Byzantium
Cossack Hetmanate
Eire
Genoa
Golden Horde
Hungary
Halych-Volhynia
Hanseatic League
Kingdom of Jerusalem
Mamelukes
Morocco
Savoy
Scotland
Sicily
Swabia
Teutonic Order
Union of Kalmar

In Interregnum, you can create nations such as Occitania, Germania, Ruthenia, Lombardia, Ukraine, Kingdom of Armenia, Turkmenistan, the Almujadid Empire, the Boyar League and the Kingdom of Asturias, as well as revive the fallen kingdoms of France and Portugal.

Interregnum has been in production for over two years, guided by a strong vision for a game with diversity, role-playing, storytelling and 'balance'.

Interregnum's unique features include:

A complex and believable history which diverges from our known history in the early 1200s, blossoming into an intriguing and politically complex world.

Challenging ai, with many special events to aid ai performace, but also to try and reduce the number of ai DiploAnnexations.

A Reformation with greater diversity that brings more realistic internal and external discord.

An Alternative Reformation that can see the Catholic Church reform itself and ultimately see Martin Luther elected as Pope, leading to perhaps an even more difficult period of religious conflict.

Unique features to enable a better multiplayer experience; including closer balance in starting strength, leaders, monarchs and events; no built-in greatness or spiraling malaise; events and storylines intended to enhance diplomacy and negotiation; and event scripting to take account of absentee players.

Explorers and conquistadors are less common and shorter-lived for each nation, but most European countries have them. This makes exploring the world a much less casual affair in the 1500s, with around 20 nations vying for their slice of the imperial cake.

The New World offers more challenging indigenous countries, but also more unnoccupied provinces for colonization.

Includes events which govern the development and potential revolt of colonies in the New World, with the possible formation of nations such as Rath na Faeyr, Massachusetts, the Republic of Free Provinces and many others.

A completely reworked, improved and elaborated random events file.

A new rationalist Islamic faith called Mutazelism, which (re-)emerges in Al-Andalus. (Shiism is handled through events and cultures).

Islamic Jizya events for all the provinces in Europe and the near east.

Elite units for some nations.

Graduated loansize events to better manage your economy.

Fewer generals and admirals, but almost all nations receive some.

Optional events that allow you to gain cores on provinces you own over time, similar in style to EU3.

Interregnum is a blob free zone.

Corrected.

Strange, because it used to work. I tested it when I first uploaded. It's like a moderator came in and edited the post to remove the thread link number ...
