Any Good Scenario Debuggers?

I've been working on a pretty simple AOD scenario for the past few weeks by myself, and seem to have messed something up about my scenario pretty bad, but not sure what. When I try to load the scenario up, the game hangs on the "reading scenario" phase of the process. Since there is no error message, I've got no idea what I messed up. Does anyone know of a program which might tell me what I've done wrong, spit out an error message, or at least show me what file is causing the loading process to hang?

Also, I've been manually editing the scenario in notepad up until now. Is there currently a better way to do this?

I use notepad++ and let it run text files like the code was C, then there is colors on the { " so it is a lot easier to keep a good overview. I think you have missed a "}" somewhere.

Have you also made your own events?

Nope, haven't gotten to the events yet, not sure that I will. I'm basically just taking the abyss scenario and breaking the countries up into smaller countries. If I get really attached to it I might care enough to come up with backstory and events but for now I'm just messing around with the map, basically.
