Any Multiplayers for new players?

Are there any Multiplayer Games for new players? Is that a lame idea because you have to be really experienced to play it? What if you just like to have fun? Do I have to have a special communication device to play?
What scenarios are played most? I only tried the Grand Campaign?
I am on vacation now. It's great to find this game.

Sure join us Hobbit would be great if you could join us in a MP we're always lookin for new players to play with... GC and age of exploration are the main scenarios we play... we're always there tuesday to thursday around 9pm eastern time.... of course you need 1.04 version.... cya

hope they fix a new version so that it is possible to play with visionparks version against players with strategyfirsts.
I will gladely participate in some games, but why cant we play on wekeends, i have to go in something called school...
