If you are asking about new models, then that is pretty certain. If you are asking about vehicle types, co_martsu said explicitly that the game will feature only trams, metro and buses, which I personally find a good decision.

Did she say CiM2 would ONLY feature trams, metro and buses, or that they have only implemented trams, metro and buses SO FAR? :)

they just didnt excite me. And I've played CiM1 for over 250 hours :)
I don't use helicopters either, but i sometimes use boats and would be glad to use them more...;)

Wow TH1, respect :D

What we have implemented in CIM2 at the moment are buses, trams and metro ;) Unless an asteroid hits the Colossal offices leaving no survivors, it's safe to assume that there's more features to be implemented.

I would preffer you to go for more elaborate infrastructure instad of exotic unrealistic public transports like helicopters.

I'm talking about more complex stations, communter-train variants of metro, large bus-stations, highways with cloverleafs and on-ramps, tunnels for roads that can go everywhere and so on.

Also I'd love to see different length of platforms, so you can choose to run 5 car trams and 10 car communter-train/metros for high volume lines.

And when you have perfected the 3 main types, then you can start adding trolleybuses, cable cars and other means of transportation... (BUT WRITE YOUR CODE SO IT SUPPORTS MORE NETWORKS AT A TIME)

Trolleybuses would be extremely nice to have. Would love to have these instead of the helicoptors. Assuming, the new engine can handle the difference between Trams and Trolleybuses.

I have to say I hope we will still have the option of ferries as they can work well in wider rivers in my view ferries are more a part of public transport than Helicopters.

On one of my maps I used to have an island as the city centre and the ferries would work well looping around the city centre island stops before serving the residential mainland to cater for the commuters.

With the infrastructure I hope we could have some bus stations to serve city centres.

If we can build road tunnels could we have the option of toll booths so we can charge private cars to use the tunnel? Since the road tunnel could have two lanes one for buses only and the other for general traffic.

So the buses go through the tunnel for free but everyone else has to pay.

Any tolls raised can then be used to invest further funds in improving and expanding your network.

Thats a cool idea barky, to be able to build no vehicles at all but just a network of toll booth tunnels and highways instead :) how evil!

They need to cost some maintainance then though to be balanced.

I would like to see ferries and helicopters in CiM2, but only if they work. On CiM1, if you had 2 helicopters on a line, they would always get stuck. If helicopters and ferries would work properly, they are more than welcome to the game.

Could you be more specific? Am sure more features are planned but what about the transport types in the topic? Are there any other types of transportation planned for the game's release? The announcement video/box art and gamescon interview sounded very clear that we only get 3 types: Trams, Buses and Metro. A clear statement would help a lot.

I don't think you'll get one this early in the development of the game.
