Any tricks on locating save game error?

Well the question is rather straight-forward. My current game keeps crashing after few months, as in: I can play the save for few months and then there's always a crash. I can also play on a month or so without any problems, save the game and then load again to give me some extra time (at least I'm under such impression, haven't really tried the trick).

Now I am quite sure there's something wrong with the save, but no idea what it could be. Is there any simple way to find out?

Just in case it helps, the game gives me following error:

I started at 1187 and use the DVIP mod with a few custom-created kingdoms that have caused no trouble thus far (currently in year 1260).

You could back up the save. Remove all impregnations. Then try to play using the save.

If it runs for like 8 months I guess there is a dynasty problem in that case I found Dynastic Glory good to spot invalid dynasty IDs from the tabel of dynasties.

If not then it was a worthy shot anyway..

Thanks, I think I located it. There was an impregnated wife with no ID for father. Haven't experienced any crash for some time.
