Greetings all. I've made some minor changes to improve the historical representation of the Great War/Early aircraft carriers. I have redesignated the "Great War Air Carrier" tech as a Light Carrier tech. It is now a prerequisite tech for Early Air Carriers and Early Light Carriers. With this change I also updated the Carrier OOB classification for the IJN Hosho, IJN Ryujo, HMS Hermes, HMS Argus, and HMS Eagle. Most importantly the 1939 "Light Carrier" tech is not known by anyone in 1936.

Many thanks, GeneralSnoopy, this is a very good idea. I've had already some plans to do something similar but was too occupied with another project. The vanilla tech tree never really represented the historical development of aircraft carriers. Especially the large carriers which would play later a decisive role in the Pacific War were only started because of the regulations of the Washington Naval Treaty. Sadly the AOD devs never bothered to do a (major) rework of the tech trees which would definitely have been an improvement. It seems that we have to do by ourselves. ;)

You have the CORE mod for reasonably accurate naval tech trees.

Luckily we've CORE. But I haven't given up all hope that vanilla AOD can't be improved. ;)
